Franki ChamakiDrive to make a difference

With a career spanning more than a decade; I have held an interesting array of responsibilities from business analysis, open innovation and start up.


I have a passion for delivering business growth through applied innovation tools and techniques.


On a personal note, I engage in entrepreneurship and support communities of the same.


I truly believe entrepreneurs seek to progress our society by removing life’s pain points leading us to a more enjoyable and rewarding living.


To me, innovation is a vehicle which allows me to express my creativity, entrepreneurial spirit and passion.


I am a founding member of Coca-Cola’s first Accelerator, a network of entrepreneurs working in the most innovative cities worldwide to build the next generation of billion-dollar businesses with the support of Coca-Cola.


In 2013, I set up internal startups for the Coca­-Cola Accelerator (later called Coca-Cola Founders Platform). In 2014, it was spun out of Coca-Cola and set up as Red Garage Ventures, which builds startups connected to Coca-Cola’s global assets and investment.


I currently Cofounder and Chief Operations Officer at HIVERY as well as Director and Founder of Red Garage Ventures – an independent venture builder/startup studio partnering with The Coca-Cola Company.


HIVERY is a data science company with a vision to reallocate the planet’s natural resources by helping the retail industry make smart decisions with their products. We do this by leveraging artificial intelligence as well as Operations Research techniques. The HIVERY has a propriety algorithm framework that represents the next frontier of data analytics. Our algorithm has been developed and acquired from the labs of Data61/CSIRO.

Prior to this, I worked at AMP – a leading specialist wealth management company – where I led various business design roles and later years in strategy & innovation.


During my time at AMP, I practice innovation through the principle of crowdsourcing – tapping into the wisdom of the crowd to complete generate viable ideas and have archived 17% idea to implementation ratio in a corporate environment. This is done by applying my own crowdsourcing framework using 5 key simple ingredients.


Growing up, I tinkered around re-inventing mouse traps to selling recycled rubber as erasers. I often been brand myself as a “Professional Geek” and has launched several early-stage start-ups namely;


  • – a peer to peer market place for space
  • (app) – an Apple iPhone App called iRomantic that generates romantic tips as you share it
  • – the first online service that allows people to see what their favorite tattoo would look like on them before any permanent artwork on their skin!
  • (app) – provides you 400+ romantic tips and conversation starters that will help you sound interesting, unique and accelerate your conversation (and romance) on dating sites
  • – Find, create and post messages in your current physical location
  • The Shoe (book) – educational children’s book focus on building logic


I go by the simple belief that anyone who tries to improve a situation is a designer and only through collaboration can true innovation be achieved within companies.
